Beanie Production Operator

  • The Beanie Production Operator is a reliable, detail-oriented team member who plays a key role in our manufacturing process. They will be responsible for ensuring that our beanies are produced efficiently, meet the highest quality standards, and are completed on time. They will work closely with the production team and assist in various stages of the process, from machine operation to finishing and packaging. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and is eager to contribute to the success of a growing company.

  • 1)    Machine Operation & Maintenance:

    • Operate and monitor sewing, knitting, and finishing machines to ensure smooth and efficient production of beanies.

    • Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and tools to ensure optimal operation.

    • Perform routine maintenance on machines, reporting any issues and requesting repairs or services as needed.

    2)    Beanie Production & Assembly:

    • Read and interpret production documents, tech packs, and design instructions to ensure each beanie is produced to the required specifications.

    • Assist in assembling and finishing beanies, including adding labels, tags, and other finishing touches.

    • Ensure that all materials and auxiliary supplies are prepared before starting production.

    • Inspect finished beanies for defects, ensuring they meet our quality standards and correcting any issues that arise.

    3)     Quality Control & Production Tracking:

    • Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards for construction, design, and stitching.

    • Adjust sewing techniques and machine settings to resolve any quality issues and maintain high standards.

    • Keep accurate records of production numbers, materials used, and any downtime. Report issues or inconsistencies to supervisors.

    • Work efficiently to meet daily production goals while maintaining consistency and quality.

    4)    Safety & Collaboration:

    • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

    • Collaborate closely with other production team members to ensure deadlines are met and any issues are communicated and resolved efficiently.

    • Actively participate in team meetings to provide feedback and assist with process improvements.

    5)    Troubleshooting:

    • Conduct regular reviews of machine functionality and make necessary adjustments to maintain production flow.

    • Alert supervisors to any performance issues, discussing solutions based on technical skills and machine experience.

    6)    Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, but not required.

  • Work is usually performed on the production floor with frequent ambulation among workstations. Long periods of stationary work while operating machines. Hand dexterity and coordination sufficient to operate machinery for detailed work. Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 lbs).

    • Willingness to learn and master the operation of machinery and equipment necessary to complete tasks with skill and quality output.

    • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.

    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

    • A proactive and positive attitude—this is a startup, and we value team members who are adaptable and excited to help solve challenges.

    • Ability to track data related to output and other quality measures.

    • Ability to follow verbal and written directions, instructions, and documents.

    • Basic mechanical troubleshooting abilities are a bonus.

    • Demonstrated understanding of and compliance with safety practices associated with this position.

Order Fulfillment Coordinator

  • The Order Fulfillment Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring orders move smoothly from order entry through production, shipment, and invoicing. This individual serves as a key link between Sales, Operations, Materials, and Production, helping to translate customer orders into executable production and shipping plans. This role is responsible for coordinating all stages of the order fulfillment process, including monitoring inventory, tracking production timelines, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met, managing outbound logistics, and closing out orders by preparing final invoicing. They also play a proactive role in optimizing shipping costs and service levels by managing relationships and negotiating rates with freight carriers. They maintain accurate and timely records, communicate order statuses to internal stakeholders, and help identify opportunities for improved workflow and customer satisfaction.

    1. Coordinates the order fulfillment lifecycle

      • Processes customer orders and ensures timely input into ERP systems.

      • Aligns order timelines with production schedules with support from the Director of Operations.

      • Works closely with the Materials Manager to confirm material availability and address shortages.

      • Monitors order status and proactively communicates delays or issues to key stakeholders.

      • Keeps order, inventory, and production records updated in ERP and related systems.

    2. Supports quality control and compliance

      • Verifies that finished goods meet internal quality standards before release.

      • Confirms that labeling requirements are met for every shipment.

      • Assists in supporting traceability and documentation for compliance audits.

    3. Manages shipping and logistics

      • Oversees picking, packing, and on-time shipment of orders.

      • Generates packing slips, shipping labels, and other documentation.

      • Tracks deliveries and resolves exceptions or delays in transit.

      • Negotiates and manages shipping rates with carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL to ensure cost-effective and reliable service.

      • Identifies opportunities for shipping optimization and implements changes to reduce cost and improve performance.

    4. Closes out orders and supports client invoicing

      • Collects packing slips and final shipping cost details once an order is ready for shipment.

      • Prepares and sends accurate client invoices in coordination with the finance team.

      • Ensures all order-related documentation is complete and properly filed.

    5. Contributes to continuous improvement

      • Participates in cross-functional meetings to review order pipeline and shipping priorities.

      • Identifies and recommends improvements to fulfillment processes and systems.

      • Assists in documenting and updating SOPs for order fulfillment procedures.

      • Analyzes fulfillment data to spot inefficiencies and supply chain risks.

  • This position requires 2+ years of experience in order fulfillment, logistics coordination, or operations support. Experience with ERP systems and a strong understanding of production workflows is preferred. Familiarity with apparel or manufacturing environments is a plus.

  • Work is typically performed in a combination of office and production floor environments. The role requires frequent use of computer systems and occasional physical handling of finished goods. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods. Some weekend or evening work may be required during peak fulfillment periods.

    • Understanding of the full lifecycle from order intake to shipping and invoicing.

    • Basic knowledge of inventory control, stock levels, and material availability.

    • Familiarity with shipping options, service levels, and how to negotiate or optimize rates.

    • Familiarity with documenting and updating standard operating procedures.

    • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and quality checks.

    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret fulfillment data and identify trends or inefficiencies.

    • Problem-solving skills to proactively address delays, bottlenecks, or supply chain risks.

    • Adaptability and initiative to work independently and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
