Industrial Maintenance Technician

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Fourbital Factory's industrial knitting machines and other production equipment to ensure reliable day-to-day operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and works closely with production employees to minimize downtime while maintaining a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.

Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Perform preventive maintenance on industrial knitting machines, sewing equipment, finishing equipment, and other production machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
Respond quickly to machine breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
Replace worn or damaged machine components.
Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and modifications.
Ensure all machinery is clean, properly lubricated, and operating safely.
Verify machines are functioning within quality specifications after repairs.
Preventive Maintenance
Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks according to established maintenance schedules.
Record maintenance activities and repairs in maintenance logs.
Inspect equipment for signs of wear and recommend repairs before failures occur.
Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory and notify the Lead Technician when replacement parts need to be ordered.
Production Support
Work closely with production operators to resolve machine issues quickly.
Assist operators with basic machine adjustments when needed.
Escalate recurring or complex mechanical issues to the Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician.
Help minimize production interruptions through proactive equipment monitoring.
Operator Training & Skill Development
Provide hands-on training and support for new production employees on the safe and effective operation of industrial knitting, sewing, finishing, and related production equipment.
Foster a culture of cross-training by helping production operators develop proficiency across multiple machine types and production processes.
Develop, maintain, and implement machine training schedules in collaboration with the Production Manager to support individual development goals and production needs.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), preventive maintenance instructions, visual work aids, and operator training materials for both existing and newly introduced machinery.
Evaluate operator competency during training and provide coaching to reinforce safe work practices, proper machine operation, and routine maintenance procedures.
Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance training programs, documentation, and operator effectiveness.
Safety & Facility Maintenance
Follow all OSHA/VOSHA safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workspace.
Assist with general facility maintenance projects as needed.
Report unsafe equipment or facility conditions immediately.

2–4 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or related experience preferred.
Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery preferred.
Experience with electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Welding, fabrication, machining, or PLC experience is a plus but not required.
OSHA/VOSHA safety training is preferred.

Work is performed primarily on the production floor. Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and safely operate hand and power tools. The position requires frequent movement throughout the facility while performing maintenance and repair activities.

Beanie Production Operator

The Beanie Production Operator is a reliable, detail-oriented team member who plays a key role in our manufacturing process. They will be responsible for ensuring that our beanies are produced efficiently, meet the highest quality standards, and are completed on time. They will work closely with the production team and assist in various stages of the process, from machine operation to finishing and packaging. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and is eager to contribute to the success of a growing company.

Machine Operation & Maintenance:
Operate and monitor sewing, knitting, and finishing machines to ensure smooth and efficient production of beanies.
Prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and tools to ensure optimal operation.
Perform routine maintenance on machines, reporting any issues and requesting repairs or services as needed.
Beanie Production & Assembly:
Read and interpret production documents, tech packs, and design instructions to ensure each beanie is produced to the required specifications.
Assist in assembling and finishing beanies, including adding labels, tags, and other finishing touches.
Ensure that all materials and auxiliary supplies are prepared before starting production.
Inspect finished beanies for defects, ensuring they meet our quality standards and correcting any issues that arise.
Quality Control & Production Tracking:
Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards for construction, design, and stitching.
Adjust sewing techniques and machine settings to resolve any quality issues and maintain high standards.
Keep accurate records of production numbers, materials used, and any downtime. Report issues or inconsistencies to supervisors.
Work efficiently to meet daily production goals while maintaining consistency and quality.
Safety & Collaboration:
Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Collaborate closely with other production team members to ensure deadlines are met and any issues are communicated and resolved efficiently.

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus, but not required.

Work is usually performed on the production floor with frequent ambulation among workstations. Long periods of stationary work while operating machines. Hand dexterity and coordination sufficient to operate machinery for detailed work. Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 lbs).
