Product Design & Development

The process of bringing amazing ideas to life with the best possible design, materials, and construction is at the heart of everything we do at Fourbital Factory. All threads lead to this.

Please note that we are not taking on any new product development work at this time. We are focusing on training our workforce on new skills and techniques while designing and developing our in-house brand 4T2D. Take a look at our products at www.4T2D.com

Our Process

Pattern Development & Grading

Trial and error, also known as: the fun part! Pattern development is an iterative process, meaning that it involves our expert pattern makers creating various drafts followed by a series of samples as we hone in on the final product. All of your patterns and designs - whether you created, or we help create - are your property.

Prototyping & Sampling

Let’s get real. At this point, pattern makers and designers work together to dial in samples until we achieve the best possible final result. It typically takes one to three sample versions, but sometimes more. The final sample will represent the exact materials and perfect execution down to every detail.

Fittings & Corrections

The first fitting may take some time as all the details are discussed, noted and confirmed. We ask that our clients provide their own fit models that are close to the size they are looking for. After fitting is approved, then fit samples can be made for further testing.

Tech Pack Development

Once your product is finalized, we create a tech pack – an instruction manual for manufacturing that provides all the details for mapping production costs and ensuring that all elements are included. This can take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours depending on the scope of the project.
